Since 1937 - Defining the timeless classic of sunglasses
Brand Story
Ray-Ban was born in 1937, originally designed as protective glasses for US Air Force pilots. Its iconic "anti-glare" lenses (Ray-Ban means "blocking light") quickly gained recognition in the military and were officially released to the public in 1939.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Ray-Ban became the standard for Hollywood stars with its two classic designs, Wayfarer and Aviator. From James Dean to Audrey Hepburn, from "Breakfast at Tiffany's" to "Top Gun", Ray-Ban's figure runs through the entire history of popular culture.
Today, Ray-Ban is part of the Italian Luxottica Group, and its product line covers multiple fields such as sunglasses, optical frames, and smart glasses, but it has always maintained its adherence to and innovation of classic design.
